By default, there is always at least on resolver section, the default one, based on "/etc/resolv.conf" content. However, it is possible to have no resolver at all if the file is empty or if any error occurred. Errors are silently ignored at this stage. In that case, there was a bug in the Prometheus exporter leading to a crash because the resolver section list is empty. An invalid resolver entity was used. To fix the issue we must only take care to not dump resolvers metrics when there is no resolver. Thanks to Aurelien to have spotted the offending commit. This patch should fix the issue #2604. It must be backported to 3.0.

HAProxy is a free, very fast and reliable reverse-proxy offering high availability, load balancing, and proxying for TCP and HTTP-based applications.
Installation
The INSTALL file describes how to build HAProxy. A list of packages is also available on the wiki.

The discourse and the mailing-list are available for questions or configuration assistance. You can also use the slack or IRC channel. Please don't use the issue tracker for these.
The issue tracker is only for bug reports or feature requests.
Documentation
The HAProxy documentation has been split into a number of different files for ease of use. It is available in text format as well as HTML. The wiki is also meant to replace the old architecture guide.
